A majestic, trophy-class whitetail buck pillow
This design is based upon 2 real whitetail bucks. The body is from an original photo taken by the famous outdoor writer, Dr. Ken Nordberg. (John's father) The unique double throat patch and huge rack is based upon a monster trophy buck that John's brother Dave took.
The center panel uses soft cream upholstery fabric. The side panels are leather. The back panel uses a soft brown fabric that has a corduroy-like texture. The fourth photo of the back panel has a color balance that is too red. The fifth photo — that shows a side view of the pillow — displays the color of the back panel more accurately.
Originally, this was a custom design for a beautiful black sweatshirt. This is first time we have used this design on a pillow. This a handsome, masculine pillow that would look great in any north woods, lodge, or cabin decor. It would be perfect for a mancave! ;-)
Notice how the layering of the multiple thread colors in this design correctly represent the 3D shading of the buck's body. (To accomplish this, this design takes hours to run, and has many thread color changes.) The digitized animal looks very much like the original.
Overall, this embroidery pillow is truly striking — definitely, one of our all-time best pillows. In stores, it could easily sell for over $100.
The pillow size is approximately 12″ x 16″ x 4″. Inside the pillow is a new, soft, high quality pillow insert.
John researched and digitized the design and Beth did the embroidery. Beth uses great computerized embroidery and sewing machines for the bulk of the work, then hand sews the final side shut.
Of course, we can put our designs on totes, sweatshirts and other embroidable items as well.
When we ship your pillows, we place them in an extra large ziplock bag, and then in a new, high quality shipping box. Your new pillows will be well protected during shipping.
